BY HILLARY KICHWEN Nakuru based athlete Jackline Chepngeno is the winner of the third edition of Belgut Marathon that was held in the morning of Sunday,August 23 2026.Chepngeno won the 21Km race beating thousands of athletes to win Ksh 500,000 courtsey of Belgut Member of Parliament Hon. Nelson Koech alias Sonko. Chepngeno crossed the line in a time of 1:08.00 followed by Janet Nyiva who clocked 1:08.17 as Zenah Jemutai Yeko from Elgeiyo-Marakwet County come third in a time of 1:09.07. Belgut Marathon is sponsored by Belgut legislator,Hon Nelson Koech and the aim is to raise funds for students at Belgut Starehe Girls and Boys Schools.
